"We've never seen anything like it - an amazing three-tier venue and bar with a dome-shaped red brick ballroom space on top with staggering acoustics and the world''s biggest glitterball to boot. It looks like it's been dragged out of some ancient crevice of history before the invention of soulless corporate venues." - NME

Antwerp Mansion

Antwerp Mansion

Rusholme Grove, Curry Mile, Manchester ,
Antwerp Mansion is a renovation project, aiming to turn a beautiful but run down Victorian Mansion into a Music, Art and Photography Haven. Over the past several years, we have been attempting to transform the mansion from the falling down death trap it used to be (kinda still is..) to a venue with a difference. It is not and never was a squat, it costs a bomb to do what we're trying to achieve. The profitable thing to do would be level it and sell the land.. but then that would suck wouldn't it!? If you don't like the fact its rough, you can either help us renovate it or bog off to any of the fancy joints across town. During the day, with the cracks of light shining through our cracked walls, we run band practices and photo / film shoots. Outside, if you haven't noticed, is our huge graffiti wall - which you are welcome to spray on if you give one of us a shout. By night, our 390 capacity venue becomes the home for many great parties and gigs. We're open every Friday - Sunday evening 7-12am.
