2-3 November 2012 Novelist Ian Rankin has chosen his musical wish-list to play at the 2012 Aberfeldy Festival We are delighted to announce that the renowned author Ian Rankin has selected his favourite Scottish bands to play at this year’s Aberfeldy Festival which takes place on 2nd and 3rd November 2012. The author of the Inspector Rebus series is again curating the weekend long arts festival and has chosen acts... FRIDAY 2ND NOVEMBER... STAR WHEEL PRESS, WITHERED HAND, MEURSAULT, AIDAN MOFFAT & BILL WELLS, PHANTOM BAND SATURDAY 3RD NOVEMBER... GUMMI BAKO, PICTISH TRAIL, ROZI PLAIN, FOUND, KING CREOSOTE.

On the Friday we have Horse and Pony classes for all ages from 3 to 63! On Saturday, the day begins with Cattle and Sheep judging, Highland Pony and Clydesdale Horse classes and the Horticultural and Industrial judging. In the afternoon there is Highland Dancing, Piping, Tug of War, Heavyweight Events, Hill Race, Terrier Racing, Children's Races, Vintage Tractors and much more.

Local produced bread, chocolate, cheese, meat, fish, etc sold each first Sunday of the month, May to October, from 10.00am to 2.00pm.

Situated in Perthshire, Aberfeldy Golf Club was founded in 1895 and, until 1995, was a 9 hole course which ran along the south bank of the River Tay. In 1993 the Club decided to extend the course to 18 holes.

Over 80 artists from all over Scotland take part in an ever changing exhibition of traditional, contemporary and fine art spread out over the Aberfeldy Gallery's four rooms.

Set amoungst beautiful countryside yet within a short & easy walk from the amenities of the market town of Aberfeldy.
