Held on the 1st Wed & Thurs in August, the Bakewell Show is one of the oldest agricultural shows in the UK with nearly 200 years of history. It has evolved from a purely agricultural show to the diverse event it is today with something for everybody!

With over 40 artists this is an intimate 3 day family friendly festival starting on the Evening of Friday 10th August through to early evening of Sunday 12th will be featuring some great music from across the world. The ‘all weather’ Festival takes place in a very large ‘Main Stage’ Tent and a smaller ‘Acoustic Stage’ Tent on the 40 acre showground in the picturesque market town of Bakewell. This music weekend will have bands representing all genres of music from Rock, Blues, Latin, Country, Folk , Jazz and Bluegrass. As well as this enchanting ambiance there will be the finest local real ales Thornbridge Brewery and ciders and the chance to taste some of the best food produce from the North. 2012 is set to be a musical treat in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park This is a ‘family friendly’ festival, so don't forget to bring the kids, there will be clowns and other children’s entertainments. Children 15 years or under (accompanied by an adult) will be admitted FREE.( we reserve the right to check identity ).
