SOS4Biz’s entry into to the UK Telephony marketplace just 2 years ago was with the introduction of the Positron Telecom’s range of business VoIP PBX telephony cards and embedded gateway appliances, and further went on to become the UK’s leading installer and maintainer, due to the demand for these telephony solutions, SOS4Biz have increased their product range to include Zycoo’s new embedded asterisk series of VoIP PBX gateways.
Between Founder, Managing Director Mr Kerry Straeker and business partner, Co-Director Miss Rebecca Davies, SOS4Biz can supply and install CAT5 based networking solutions including Servers, PC’s, Structure cabling, Switches and all relevant software, we have many years experience in setting up and maintaining Linux & Microsoft or a hybrid of both server based networks. Our main core business is based on Linux servers with SAMBA running as the Primary Domain Controller, alongside this we use Linux servers for all our emailing services as shown below. Even though Linux is our number one choice, we do have many clients with hybrid networks (both Linux and Microsoft server’s running on the same network) which were installed and currently maintained by SOS4Biz. We offer monthly and yearly support and maintenance contracts for all hardware and networking supplied and installed by SOS4Biz. SOS4Biz specialise in the installation and maintenance of Linux based servers and workstations. The majority of our clients have a Linux based Primary Domain Controller (SAMBA) which has the extra benefits of a licence free server environment, easier to maintain and requires less hardware resources, which dramatically reduces your initial costs. Upon request we are also able to install and maintain Microsoft based server and workstations, for some of our clients, we have installed Microsoft’s servers in a variety configurations such as Domain Controllers and Application servers. We have partnered with Desknow and Zarafa so that we can offer alternative full collaboration solutions to Microsoft’s Exchange Server, both Desknow and Zarafa provide full Email, Contacts, Tasks and Calendar facilities across multiple devices such as: Desktop PC’s, Laptops and Smartphone’s (iPhone & Android) at a more affordable cost and we believe offers greater stability.
